If your instructor asks you to create and upload a video for class, or convert a PowerPoint with sound files to an MP4 video file, PLEASE DO NOT PUT VIDEO FILES DIRECTLY INTO PLATO. <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There are two easy options to complete this task. See below for instructions on how to upload to YouTube OR your 海角社区 OneDrive to share in your class.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

OPTION 1: Upload your MP4 file to YouTube, and paste the link into your course drop box or discussion forum.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Be sure to set your video as “unlisted<\/strong>” when uploading so your instructor will be able to view your video, but it won’t be available to anyone without the link.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You will need a google account.\u00a0If you do not have a\u00a0<\/span><\/span>google\u00a0<\/span>account, you can <\/span><\/span>Create a Google Account.<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

OPTION 2:\u00a0 Upload your videos or large files to your 海角社区 OneDrive to share in class as a web link.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To upload your videos or files to OneDrive\u00a0to share with your students or your instructor follow these steps.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Log into your email via a browser.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Click on the square with the dots on the top left corner to access your Office 365 Tools<\/span><\/p>\n

When you click into the menu you will see your Office 365 tools. From here you can click directly into your OneDrive.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Once in your OneDrive, on the left side, click Create or Upload<\/strong> on the top left. Then you will see the menu below, and you will click Files Upload<\/strong>.\u00a0 This will bring you to your files on your computer, and you can select your MP4 file or other file types.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\nOnce it is uploaded, you will see it in your drive and you can click the arrow to the right of the file to get a web link to share it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Then click the <\/span>COPY LINK button. This will add the web link to your cursor and you can paste the WEB LINK into your course discussion or assignment.<\/span><\/p>\n

To the right of the COPY LINK button there is a little cog where you can choose sharing options. The default is set to “anyone with the link can view.” In this area you can adjust the share settings to allow others to edit and you can also or set to “view but can’t download.”\u00a0 There is always an expiration date which you can edit as needed and you can set a password if desired.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
